Terms of Service — CallSafe

🚨 IMPORTANT: CallSafe is NOT an emergency service.

It's a comfort tool designed to give you peace of mind and an easy excuse to leave a date if needed. In any emergency, always call 999 or 112 immediately.

Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, leave and get to safety.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using CallSafe, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

CallSafe is operated from Ireland.

2. Description of Service

CallSafe is a scheduled phone call service. Here's how it works:

You schedule a call for a specific time
We place a confirmation call immediately to verify your number
At your scheduled time, we call you with a friendly check-in
You can respond that you're fine, or request help/an excuse to leave
If you request help, we provide a scripted response to give you an out

What CallSafe is NOT:

An emergency response service
A substitute for calling 999/112 in danger
A personal safety device or tracking system
A guarantee of safety or protection

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to use CallSafe. By using this service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. User Responsibilities

When using CallSafe, you agree to:

Provide accurate information — Especially your phone number and timezone
Not misuse the service — Don't use CallSafe for pranks, harassment, or illegal purposes
Understand the limitations — CallSafe is a comfort tool, not a safety guarantee
Take responsibility for your safety — Always trust your instincts and leave if you feel unsafe

You understand that:

Calls may fail due to network issues, incorrect phone numbers, or technical problems
You are responsible for answering the call (we can't help if you miss it)
CallSafe does not monitor your location or contact emergency services on your behalf

5. No Guarantee of Safety

CallSafe is a tool for peace of mind, not a safety guarantee.

We cannot and do not guarantee:

That calls will be delivered on time (or at all)
That the service will prevent harm
That responding to our call will ensure your safety
That our "excuse to leave" will be believed or effective

Your safety is ultimately your responsibility. Use CallSafe as one tool among many (telling a friend where you're going, meeting in public places, trusting your gut, etc.).

6. Service Availability

We operate CallSafe on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee:

Continuous availability (the service may go down for maintenance)
That scheduled calls will always be placed on time
Any specific uptime or Service Level Agreement (SLA)

CallSafe is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to:

Modify or discontinue the service at any time
Implement usage limits if necessary
Refuse service to anyone for any reason

7. Privacy and Data

Your use of CallSafe is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

We collect only what's needed (phone number, name, call time)
Data is stored in memory, not a database
We don't track you, sell your data, or show ads

8. Third-Party Services

CallSafe uses third-party providers to operate:

Twilio — For placing phone calls
ElevenLabs — For natural-sounding voice synthesis

These providers have their own terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their actions or failures.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

CallSafe and its operators are not liable for:

Any harm, injury, or damages resulting from using (or not being able to use) CallSafe
Missed calls, failed calls, or technical failures
Reliance on CallSafe as a safety measure
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

You use CallSafe at your own risk. It is a free tool provided "as is" with no warranties of any kind.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CallSafe from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

Your use of the service
Your violation of these terms
Your violation of any third-party rights

11. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of CallSafe after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Termination

You can stop using CallSafe at any time by simply not scheduling any more calls. You can also cancel scheduled calls using the "Cancel This Call" button.

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to CallSafe if you:

Violate these terms
Misuse the service
Use CallSafe for illegal or harmful purposes

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Ireland.

Any disputes arising from your use of CallSafe will be resolved in Irish courts.

14. Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the terms remain in effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CallSafe.
