Who We Are

CallSafe is operated from Ireland. We built this service to give people a simple, private way to feel safer when going on dates or nights out.

What Data We Collect

When you schedule a CallSafe, we collect:

• Your phone number — So we can call you at the scheduled time
• Your first name (optional) — So our call sounds more natural
• Your call time and timezone — To schedule the call correctly
• Your email address (optional) — Only if you choose to receive confirmation and reminder emails on the confirmation screen

We do NOT collect:

• Location data (beyond the timezone you select)
• Browsing behavior or tracking cookies
• Payment information (CallSafe is completely free)

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used for one purpose only: to place your scheduled check-in call.

Here's exactly what happens:

• When you submit the form, your phone number and call time are stored in memory only (not in a database)
• A confirmation call is placed immediately to verify your number
• At your scheduled time, we place your CallSafe
• After the call, your data remains in memory until the service restarts (typically weekly)

Email (Optional)

If you choose to provide your email address on the confirmation screen:

• We send you an immediate confirmation email with your call details
• We send a 30-minute reminder before your scheduled call
• We send a completion confirmation after your call is complete

Your email is never used for marketing and is not shared with third parties. It's stored in memory alongside your phone number and cleared when the service restarts.

Data Retention

We do not persist your personal data. Everything is stored in the application's memory and is automatically cleared when:

• The CallSafe service restarts (typically during updates or maintenance)
• The server reboots

We keep anonymized event logs (date/time of scheduled calls, timezone selected, whether confirmation calls succeeded) for service improvement. These logs contain no phone numbers or names.

Third Parties

To operate CallSafe, we use two third-party services:

• Twilio — Places the phone calls. Twilio's privacy policy: twilio.com/legal/privacy
• ElevenLabs — Generates the natural voice for our calls. ElevenLabs' privacy policy: elevenlabs.io/privacy

We do NOT:

• Use analytics tools like Google Analytics
• Use advertising networks
• Sell or share your data with anyone
• Send marketing emails (we don't collect email addresses)

Cookies

CallSafe uses minimal cookies:

• Cookie consent preference — Stored in your browser's localStorage to remember that you've accepted cookies
• No tracking cookies — We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking

The cookie consent preference is stored locally on your device and never sent to our servers.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Delete — Request deletion of your scheduled call (use the "Cancel This Call" button or contact us)
• Portability — Request your data in a machine-readable format
• Object — Object to our processing of your data

Please note: because we don't store data persistently, most deletion requests are automatically fulfilled when the service restarts. If you want immediate deletion, you can cancel your scheduled call using the link sent after scheduling.

Data Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect your data:

• All connections use HTTPS encryption
• Phone numbers are never logged in plain text
• The service runs on a secure server with restricted access

However, no internet service is 100% secure. Use CallSafe with the understanding that any data sent online carries some risk.

Children's Privacy

CallSafe is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Jurisdiction

CallSafe is operated from Ireland and subject to Irish and EU law (including GDPR).
